Lifelong entertainer Bill Bernico has put together a solo act unlike anything you've ever heard. Blending talent and technology, Bill performs a nostalgic music show that covers more than six decades of popular hits. Bill's attention to detail and dedication to the original songs shines through in every song. You'll hear songs you know and love — but may not have heard in a long time — played just the way you remember them.
We're talking real oldies here: Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Nat King Cole, Doris Day, Gene Pitney, Fats Waller, Dionne Warwick, Ink Spots, Kenny Rogers,
The Beatles, Patsy Cline, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Ricky Nelson, Perry Como, Andy Williams, and many more. Bill's song list is heavy on
great vocals, and he often remarks that he's not a guitar player who sings, but a singer who plays guitar.
Bill is also a musical trivia buff, and augments the tunes with behind-the-scenes stories about the artists and songs, and of course throws in the occasional bad joke so you don't get too comfy. His computer provides the sidemen and backup singers while Bill croons the lead vocals and plays guitar on every tune.
How does it sound?
In a word, amazing. This ain't no expensive band. This is real music, performed by a real live musician. Listen to a crisp, rich, full band sound you have to hear to believe. The songs don't just sound good — they sound right.
Here are some audio samples of Bill in action. Notice the precise vocal harmonies and the guitar lead. This is really how the show sounds live. Just choose a clip from the drop-down and press Play.
What's on the song list?
Great tunes and plenty of 'em. Bill plays songs you probably grew up with, including hits from Bobby Vinton, Ricky Nelson, The Inkspots, Dean Martin, The Everly Brothers, and many more. He'll even pull the occasional tune out of his, er, repertoire and surprise you with hits from Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Nat King Cole, or Johnny Mathis. And he will never, never ever, ever annoy you with original, "Here's one I wrote." music. You'll know every song Bill plays, even if you haven't heard it in years — or even if you've never heard it played by a live band. In fact, Bill is proud to make his audiences this promise: If he plays one song all night that makes you say "Gees, I haven't heard that one in a long time. It's great to hear it again", then he's done his job.
Okay, enough talk; here's the partial list. (His entire list consists of more than 1,200 songs)
