WHAT A GOOFY JOB THIS IS

"What are you, a little goofy?" John said sarcastically.

Charlie looked at him through the dark netting in his costume. "Yeah, like I haven't heard that a million times before."

Charlie's job at Disney World had originally been that of ticket taker at the front gate but he'd recently been promoted, if you can call it that, to the position of greeter. That is, he dressed in an oversized, overstuffed costume depicting the Disney character, Goofy. It was his job to see to it that the thousands of children who visited the park daily were entertained and made to feel welcomed to this magical kingdom.

That promotion into the Goofy costume should have been John's. After all, he'd worked at Disneyland longer than Charley and he'd been passed over. Now, how to get justice, how to get even, and how to get that promotion was all John could think of. But he had an ace up his sleeve.
